Black Friday Action to Support Worker Rights and Living Wage at Walmart

Last Friday, thirteen concerned Boulder-area citizens met with a manager of the Walmart Neighborhood Market in the city’s Diagonal Plaza mall.  Their purpose: to deliver a strong statement of support for Walmart associates nationwide who are pushing for minimum $15/hr and full-time hours and calling on the company to stop intimidating and punishing workers for exercising their rights to speak out and organize to, as Walmart so often sloganizes, “live better”.  The event, one of more than 1600 Black Friday actions across the country,  was organized by the Coalition for Social & Environmental Responsibility in Boulder (CSERB).
