December 1st is World Aids Day and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains is offering free and confidential HIV testing at various locations around the Metro area today. Marta Welch Sr. Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains says the number of people who are newly infected with AIDS dropped significantly worldwide between 2001 and 2013. She cautions that while the numbers look positive, there is still a long way to go. According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment, as of June 2014, more than 12,000 Coloradoans are living with HIV and AIDS.
