Local High School Students Win Lexus Eco-Challenge

In November 2018 a team of seven students at the Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette won $10,000 in a national competition for their educational campaign about endangered animals in Colorado.

The students who are all sophomores were competing in the national Lexus Eco Challenge through their Innovation and Design Thinking class. The challenge tasked the students to create practical solutions to environmental issues. They created a website highlighting the plight of endangered animals in Colorado and educational materials for younger students.

The group which includes Mana Setayesh, Jessica Kalloor, Isha Batra, Luke Wolsko, Madison Rippetoe, Ben Rosen and Isabella Brakhage, is now moving onto the The Final Challenge of the Lexus Eco Challenge.
