KGNU’s Diana Aqra moderates a conversation between two of the three candidates running to represent Denver Council District #9; Michael Borcherding and current Council Representative for District #8 Albus Brooks. Candidate Ean Tafoya was invited but was unable to join the conversation due to a scheduling conflict.
Denver City Council District #9 is a large expanse of downtown, stretching from Alameda to 52nd, with boundaries as far west as Federal and east as Colorado Boulevard. KGNU’s Denver Studio is located in CD #9 in the Santa Fe Arts District.
Denver City Council’s election is Tuesday, May 5th. KGNU Community Radio will be hosting a series of candidate forums throughout April, with a special emphasis on Tuesday Metro.
