Larimer County recently decided to rename two locations because of their connection to the Sand Creek Massacre.

Pingree Park and Pingree Hill honored George Pingree, known for participating in the 1864 massacre of a village of Cheyenne and Arapaho people.

The new names, Soule Park and Soule Hill, honor another historical figure: Silas Soule.

KGNU volunteer reporter and genealogy enthusiast Don Davis recently learned that he shares a family tree with Soule. He brings us this letter he wrote to his ancestor.
