Keithlin is a social entrepreneur who founded Helen’s Daughters, a nonprofit on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia that focuses on traditional Caribbean agriculture through women’s leadership, decolonizing food systems, and centering women farmers as innovators and economic drivers.

Ayesha is the technical director for climate justice grantmaking at the Global Fund for Women, overseeing funding to frontline communities and shaping the organization’s global climate strategy.

Her background and experience are in gender-responsive climate action, feminist movement-building, and participatory research in the Caribbean and the Global South.  Helen’s Daughters can be found at helensdaughters.org, and the Global Fund for Women is at www.globalfundforwomen.org.

Part two is an interview with Annie Leonard and Andre Caruthers, authors of a new book, “Protest: Respect It, Defend It, Use It,” published by Patagonia. Annie Leonard is a lifelong activist who has protested globally.

She was the Executive Director of Greenpeace US for ten years, and co-launched the Jane Fonda Climate PAC. She is included in Time magazine’s Heroes of the Environment.

André Carothers is an activist, writer, and organizer who has been involved in protests on issues of climate change, human rights, environmental protection, and nuclear disarmament for over four decades.

He worked for Greenpeace US for 13 years and is the cofounder of the Rockwood Leadership Institute, a training organization for activists. They are currently on a book tour, including trainings on nonviolent civil disobedience, and for more information, please go to www.theprotestbook.com.
