We Starts With Me

Sadie Melendez, a 2nd grader at Boulder’s Friend’s School and her Mom, film maker Rachel Lederman-Melendez join President Obama as they have their short film “We Starts With Me” screened at the 2nd annual White House Student Film Festival on Friday March 20th. The film is only one of 15 films chosen made by students around the country and it shows how little things we do in the community can make a difference. In the film, Sadie and her 17 classmates are shown doing good deeds like taking out the trash and walking the dog and helping little kids at the school.  Sadie says the film shows that even if you’re young, you can still contribute to society.
