Tech Talks: MIT grant for portable emergency tracking device

This week on Tech Talks, the studio team caught up with Tony Perry the invention education coordinator of the St. Vrain Valley School District IC Lemelson-MIT team, and these students are designing a portable emergency tracking device that is funded by the Lemelson-MIT Program. This grant encourages people all over the United States to create a meaningful project for their community and world. The device the students will be designing this summer was inspired by interrupted cell phone service in times of natural disasters. The device will work to give people and emergency personal a communication alternative in times of flood or fire.
