OutSources: The Poetry of Scars – Activism and Writing with Willy Wilkinson

Host Sean Kenny speaks with writer, activist, and consultant Willy Wilkinson.  They discuss Willy’s work in the public health sector, as well as some of the obstacles that transgender people and transgender men in particular face in navigating institutions and engaging in activism.

Willy also talks about how other facets of his identity, including age, ability level, and race, intersect with his work on gender and sexuality.

Willy’s recent book, Born on the Edge of Race and Gender, is a journalistic memoir that outlines his personal experiences with identity, oppression, and activism.  For more information about Willy and his work, click here.
