Join Angela Palermo for a conversation with Dr. Janine D’Anniballe.
Dr. D’Anniballe is a licensed psychotherapist, Director of Trauma Services at Mental Health Partners and oversees Moving to End Sexual Assault (or MESA) in Boulder. She has provided training and consultation to attorneys, law and military personnel, mental health professionals, victim advocates, and university staff in more than thirty states.
During our conversation, we discuss the history of MESA, statistics on sexual assault, “rape culture,” sexual assault and the criminal justice system, consent and the impacts of sexual assault on the queer and trans communities. Dr. D’Anniballe makes clear that while much progress has been made with regard to eliminating sexual assault, so much more remains to be done.
