University Of Colorado Boulder Communications Professor Karen Lee Ashcraft’s new book, Wronged and Dangerous,Viral Masculinity and The Populous Pandemic, analyzes the impact of what she calls “aggrieved masculinity” in all parts of society. From everyday interactions to the January 6th insurrection to the global environmental crisis, Ashcraft breaks down the way this gendered resentment and anger pervades.

KGNU’s Alexis Kenyon spoke with Ashcraft, a self-identified “former right-wing populist,” about her book.
