Lunar New Year Celebrations Kick Off Across The Front Range

Yesterday marked the start of the Year of The Rabbit across East Asian and diaspora communities worldwide.

In Denver, festivities kicked off Saturday with a community fair and packed performance of dancers, musicians and acrobats at George Washington High School. Then on Sunday, the Far East Center on South Federal Blvd hosted lion dances and fireworks in the first of two weekends of festivities.

At Sunday’s event at the Far East Center, News Director Shannon Young spoke with Mimi Luong of Truong An Gifts.
