Pickles, caramelized cabbage with the magic of eating locally

October’s edition of Kitchen Table Talk – KGNU’s monthly, hour-long breakfast radio gathering – featured hosts John Lehndorff (Radio Nibbles) and chef Dan Asher (River & Woods) and guests Laraina James – of Boulder’s award-winning Mountain Girl Pickles and chef Melody Hu of Louisville’s Sweet Diplomacy bakery and Experimental Dinner Club. They chatted about preserving produce from Boulder County farms, cool upcoming local food events and some secrets to gluten-free baking. Listeners joined the discussion with questions about canning and caramelizing cabbage.
