Voters in California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada approved recreational marijuana while voters in Montana, North Dakota, Florida and Arkansas approved medical marijuana.

Now for the first time, smoking marijuana is legal for medical and in some cases for recreational purposes, in 30 states.
