Talking Textiles and the Trajectory of Sustainable Fashion

On this week’s A Public Affair, KGNU and Report for America’s Jackie Sedley dives seam-first into the world of textiles. Sedley is joined in the studio by two textile aficionados: Pau Martin, owner of the local textile upcycler brand Atrévete, and Hanna Rose Shell, a CU Boulder professor who is also the author of several publications and a film about textile waste and recycling.

Though they come from different backgrounds, both Martin and Shell bring enthusiasm for textiles and sustainability to the table. Listen in to hear the tips and tricks of their trades, and hear some helpful heaps of advice on what to do with your clothing and household items that no longer serve you.
