Voices from the Denver Mineral, Fossil, Gem and Jewelry Show

The annual Denver Mineral, Fossil, Gem and Jewelry Show opened last week.  Vendors displaying their wares are spread throughout the National Western Complex and the Denver Coliseum. No surprise — it’s the largest show of its kind in the U.S. The event runs through Sunday, September 17th. Parking and admission are free.
KGNU’s Benita Lee went on Sunday to check out the dizzying variety of rocks and spoke with several vendors about what they find compelling about their work. You can hear their thoughts in the following audio postcard.
