Farming, baking and the appeal of bitterness were on the minds of co-hosts John Lehndorff (Radio Nibbles) and chef Dan Asher (River & Woods) for the September edition of Kitchen Table Talk with guests: farmer Mark DeRespinis of Esoterra Culinary Garden and baker Jennifer Mesinger of Lucky’s Bakeshop and Cafe. They tasted buttery cakes, as well as cucamelons, ratatouille and chicory as they answered callers’ questions including what to with this year’s gargantuan summer squash.
