This week is KGNU Radio Week, where we celebrate all things KGNU, and recognize the impact of independent, community-driven media here on the Front Range.

We’re marking KGNU’s 48 years of providing local news, eclectic music, and community-led programming, while helping foster creative, innovative spaces. And this year is special because the station is preparing to move into a new home in downtown Boulder. This week’s special programming will highlight the incredible diversity of community members that make up KGNU.

Abby O’Brien sat down with KGNU’s Sam Fuqua to discuss his memories over two decades at the 4700 Walnut St building.

This story aired on the Morning Magazine, KGNU’s weekday morning show featuring in-depth discussions on local news issues. Click here to listen to other episodes of the Morning Magazine.
