The heroine, Lee Isaacs, is a female criminal defense attorney unhappily contemplating her sixtieth birthday. In this book, she represents a teenage boy accused of helping a group of skinheads kick a gay man to death. The book is all about homophobia, religious intolerance, and aging. It’s heavy but it’s also very entertaining. And funny.

Jeanne will be speaking and signing books at the Boulder Bookstore on August 23 or at the Tattered Cover on Colfax September 9.
