Election 2016: New Era Founder Seeks Senate Seat Now Held by Rollie Heath

Colorado District 18 Senator Rollie Heath is term-limited and is serving his last year in the Senate this year.  Up and coming though is a familiar face to those who have worked on progressive issues locally.
You may know Steve Fenberg as the founder of New Era Colorado.  Over the years he has mobilized a generation of youth to engage in the political process and  has organized for a public utility here in Boulder.  He is running on a platform of cleaning the environment, equal economic opportunity, reworking the TABOR amendment, education, women’s health, and justice for underrepresented communities such as people of color, the LGBTQ, and Transgender Coloradans.
On Saturday, he spoke to KGNU about some of the things he will support if he is elected to take the seat now held by Senator Rollie Heath:
