Metro: We Belong: Denver’s La Alma/Lincoln Park Neighborhood

Alisha Francis takes a trip to the La Alma / Lincoln Park Neighborhood in Denver. It is a diverse neighborhood has a strong Latino cultural identity but is home to people from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds.  It’s also home to the Santa Fe Arts District and Colorado Ballet.  Recently the neighborhood has been involved in Denver University’s Bridge Project which strives to help children and youth living in Denver’s public housing neighborhoods to achieve their academic potential and graduate from high school with the resources necessary to succeed as adults. KGNU’s Alisha Francis paid a visit to an open house hosted by the Bridge Project and  Denver Arts and Venues!…artist Andrea Moore has been working with youth in the neighborhood to  create an art project called We Belong.
