Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental disorder and affect up to 24 million people of all ages and genders, but recovery is possible. February 22-28 is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Host Lize Britten speaks with guests Diane Israel, an adjunct professor at Naropa professor. She produced the award winning documentary Beauty Mark. Carmen Cool is the 2013 recipient of the excellence in advocacy award from the eating disorders coalition. She founded Boulder Youth Body Alliance, an organization that worked with teens to be body positive ambassadors in their schools and communities.
