Alan Doyle and his Beautiful Beautiful Band will be in concert May 7th at the Pace Center in Parker Colorado as part of an extensive North American “Welcome Home” tour. “Welcome Home,” the first single off his upcoming album, is due out in 2024. “Welcome Home” is a fiercely rollicking, Celtic-y, fiddle-and-accordion-goosed party track that Doyle wrote with country-roots artist Donovan Woods and Josh Kelley. “Welcome Home. The words we dream to say when loved ones have been gone,” says Doyle. “I hope this speaks to everyone of dreaming to get all hands home, and to sing loud when they do.”
Doyle is a multifaceted singer-songwriter, going on three decades strong as a musician – first as a member of the much-celebrated band Great Big Sea and now as an internationally acclaimed solo artist. His CV is extensive – he is a thrice-published author, a film and TV actor-producer with multiple major credits, and the co-producer of the recently released, 20-song Ron Hynes tribute album, Sonny Don’t Go Away. Yet the wildly popular musician from Petty Harbour, Newfoundland, remains most electrifying before a live audience, abetted by his ace band. “I am the luckiest guy in the world,” Doyle says. “It’s such a privilege to stand among those players on stage.”
Indie rock singer-songwriter Adam Baldwin will be Doyle’s special guest. Look for Alan to come out and sing a few songs with Baldwin. Expect one of best live shows you’ve ever seen!
Alan Doyle concert reviews:
“Another awesome show from Alan Doyle and The Beautiful Band. This guy leaves it all on stage…he puts everything he has into giving his audience the best and his band dies too. What a talented group of people! While his tribute to his parents brought me to tears, the rest of the night kept me dancing, singing and I walked out if that show feeling so good!” NYC Theatre
“Like any live show, the audience was amped up and ready for Mr. Doyle. A sea shanty here or a pub song there, he manages to put Canada’s East Coast music on the map… The energy, joy and overall fun during his shows is something to write home about…His music is just so uplifting that you simply cannot be in a bad mood when hearing him play. His accompanying band mates were incredible as well, particularly his fiddle player Kendel Carson…” Concert Addict
“ALAN DOYLE ISN’T JUST A MAJOR CANADIAN PERFORMER. HE’S A MAJOR PERFORMER. From the first second of the show Alan Doyle and the Beautiful Beautiful Band had fans at Bud Stage on their feet, raucously roaring (Come Out with Me / We’re Gonna Love Tonight), jigging (Lukey / The Night Pat Murphy Died), crying (Laying Down to Perish), blues-rocking (Testify), counting (1 2 3 4), and even a sea shanty (Bully Boys). Whether his solo material or Great Big Sea’s (End of the World, When I’m Up), every song was a standout. Band members have bucketfulls of talent and had plenty of solos to showcase. ..” Fan Bud Stage
New Album “Welcome Home”
“Welcome Home,” is an upbeat tune with flecks of fiddle with a rural sensibility ala The Band. There’s a delicacy throughout, with well-chosen lyrics that while not deep or prophetic are easily relatable and applied as stitches in a quilt of musicality” Americana Highways
