Making Peace with North Korea

Eric Sirotkin is an international human rights attorney who is a member of Lawyers for Demilitarization and Peace in Korea

He has a new book: Witness: A Lawyer’s Journey from Litigation to Liberation, with a Little Help from Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama, and the … Cuba and North Korea.

He’ll be speaking about that book and the current situation with North Korea at several events this weekend in the metro area. He told Maeve Conran why the current rhetoric from the White House toward North Korea is so dangerous.

“It’s definitely the total wrong approach and we begin to use mechanisms that we’ve seen have not worked over many years in reference to Korea, or you  might say in reference to international relations around the world.”
