What does the “Lyons Neighbors 4 Democracy” group protest every Saturday? KGNU News

Every Saturday, the town of Lyons, just of Boulder—gets noisy for an hour. In the middle of a traffic island on Main Street, about 25 people stand holding protest signs. The Lyons “Neighbors 4 Democracy Group” was founded in January 2024, and holds a weekly demonstration for democracy.

The group’s goal is to draw the attention of passing cars to their protest against current politics, and encourage them to reflect. KGNU news intern Yannick Wohlfelder talked with some of the protesters.
