Kevin Fedarko: The Emerald Mile

Maeve Conran speaks with Kevin Fedarko about his book, The Emerald Mile, which tells the story of 3 river guides who, during record water releases from the Glen Canyon Dam in 1983, launched a dory on 277 mile trip on the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon. He explains some of the hydrological factors involved in this massive release of water into the Colorado river.
