Helping Small Businesses During COVID-19 Pandemic

Angela Atkinson is the Center Director for the North Metro Denver SBDC for the Colorado Small Business Development Center Network. Tish Beauford discusses with her how their non-profit organization has been servicing the Colorado Community since 1989 helping small business owners by providing tools and resources on how to reopen and provide support to them during the Covid-19 pandemic in Metro Denver and throughout the State of Colorado.

Angela has a background in consulting to small businesses, nonprofits, and governmental entities. She has held leadership positions with nonprofit organizations and owned a consulting business providing mentor-ship in marketing, research, strategic planning and leadership development in Southwest Colorado for more than 15 years.

In addition to her consulting practice, she has been an entrepreneur specializing in digital marketing, website development, photography, videography and loves helping small businesses uncover and amplify their authentic voice through their messaging in community. She has been an active member of local governmental boards and councils throughout her 15-year career. Angel holds a BA in English from Montana State University and an MBA from UC Berkeley and has also studied abroad and volunteered with international refugee assistance organizations.

The Colorado SBDC Network consists of 15 full-time centers and more than 70 part-time satellite centers statewide. The Colorado Small Business Development Center Network works in partnership with the State of Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade. Their consultations and assistance are free to the public.
