Garden to Table is a local non-profit that brings gardens and garden programming to schoolchildren. They partner with the Boulder Valley School District to serve more than six thousand BVSD students, getting them involved in a hands-on learning experience.

Garden to Table supports more than two hundred classrooms at eighteen Boulder Valley schools. The program is funded in part by an annual walking tour, that gives the public a chance to see some private homes and gardens, which homeowners open up for the fundraiser.

It’s also a chance to find out what Garden to Table is all about. This year’s tour included a look at the school garden at Foothill Elementary.

KGNU’s Andraa Von attended this year’s garden tour and brings back this report.
