The quarterly economic forecast allows the state to make any last minute adjustments before the budget goes into effect on July 1st. Colorado’s economy has been projected to grow – but at a slower pace than the previous two years. Republican Senator Kevin Lundberg of Berthoud serves on the joint budget committee.
“My expectation is that the budget is pretty much on track with what we were looking at three months ago. Do I expect any changes of a dramatic nature, no I don’t.”
Non-partisan legislative analysts put together the forecast looking at all parts of the state’s economy from agriculture and energy to tourism.
