Researchers in public universities in the US have long complained about the barriers facing them when it comes to researching the possible uses of the cannabis plant. Maeve Conran has an in depth conversation with Robert Sievers about the uses of cannabidiol and the barriers to research in the United States.

Robert Sievers, a former CU Regent, is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Sievers will be giving a lecture on the potential benefits of cannabidiol Tuesday, May 24th, at 6:30 pm in the Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Complex Auditorium in the McAllister Building on the University of Colorado-Boulder campus.
