Ben Nighthorse Campbell on the 150th Anniversary of Sand Creek Massacre

U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell sponsored the 1998 legislation to establish a Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site. The site opened to the public in 2007.  Senator Campbell, who is of Cheyenne ancestry, says that every Cheyenne and Arapahoe bears the scars of Sand Creek on their souls.

Senator Campbell and former Congressman David Skaggs will be speaking November 19th  at 7pm at the Museum of Boulder, 2205 Broadway.  It is part of Boulder’s Remembrance of the 150th anniversary of the Sand Creek Massacre.
