Lawmakers to Decide Office of Consumer Counsel on Final Day of Session

The debate at the state legislature over the future of a consumer watchdog organization won’t be decided until the final day of the session on Wednesday May 6th. The Office of Consumer Counsel represents taxpayers when utility and telecom companies ask the state for rate increases. As Bente Birkeland reports, determining the scope of the office’s role has been contentious.
