Tax Day Carnival: Celebrating our moral choices.

“In theory tax day should be a day that we come together as a community. We should be feeling empowered about the choices and the values that we want to see, made into reality, put into play in our cities and our towns.”

Chris Getzan is program manager with Warm Cookies of the Revolution, a civic engagement organization that is hosting its second annual Tax Day Carnival, to give people an opportunity to discuss our taxation system and where our tax dollars whilst having a party!

Bellydancers, magicians and face-painters will be on hand at the McNichols building in Denver from 6pm on April 15th as well as discussions around the moral choices we make in paying taxes.
