Weed Between the Lines: Reclassifying Marijuana at a Federal Level

Leland Rucker talks about  a bi-partisan coalition of senators who this week introduced Senate Bill 683 that would provide access to medical marijuana and enable research into medicinal properties of marijuana.

It would reclassify marijuana to schedule 2, which means it has an accepted medical use. Right now the federal government classifies marijuana as schedule 1. It would allow states to set their own policies on medical marijuana.
