Community Fighting for Release of Man Reincarcerated

About 50 supporters, many members of the clergy, and over 200,000 signers of a petition feel that Rene Lima Marin should be released from prison after serving 8 years of a 98 year prison sentence. Because of a clerical error that documented his sentence to be served concurrently rather than the judge’s order of consecutively, Marin was accidentally released 90 years earlier. Supporters gathered outside of Governor Hickenlooper’s mansion about two weeks ago to draw attention to the public support that Lima Marin has which included several members of the clergy.
