    Mind the Gaps Maeve Conran

Decades ago, when someone was dying, they would be ‘dropped off’ into hospice with very little transition.  Today, we continue to find tools and services that help people make gentle transitions into and throughout the dying process.  In this show we hear about how doulas can work with hospice and what extra support can make the active dying process easier.

Today’s guests are Jenn Thompson, CEO of Trail Winds Hospice and Nicole Matarazzo, End of Life Doula. KGNU’s end of life series is co-hosted by news director Maeve Conran and Kim Mooney, Thanatologist, Practically Dying, LLC.

This story aired on A Public Affair, KGNU’s weekday morning show featuring in-depth discussions on local news issues. Click here to listen to other episodes of A Public Affair.
