Many of us searching for biographical facts about a well-known person turn to “Wikipedia” – the online encyclopedia that’s been around since 2001. But like most traditional encyclopedias or history books, Wikipedia has a gender bias. Only 18 percent of Wikipedia biographical pages are about women. Following that discovery, a Boulder woman decided it was time to create a better balance and she has enlisted a group of people to add pages about influential Boulder women and local people of color.
