OutSources: LGBTQ+ Coloradans’ Experiences in Economy and Housing

This week on OutSources, Jace Woodrum, Senior Officer of Public Opinion at the Colorado Health Foundation discusses the differences in the ways LGBTQ+ Coloradans responded to polls about their experiences with the growing Colorado economy and housing landscape.

Jace reports alarming discrepancies in the self-reported financial situations of LGBTQ+ folks in Colorado versus those who identified as straight and cisgender. We discuss the numbers themselves, as well as how race, income, and gender identity are the most impactful variables in how secure people reported being in their housing and financial situations.

During our conversation, Jace mentions the National Center for Transgender Equality and the Delores Project.
