CO House Representative Leslie Herod forecasts criminal justice reform.

Representative Leslie Herod is the first African American lesbian elected to the State House of Representatives. She talks about how our Criminal Justice system unfairly treats people of color, the poor, and the LGBTQ community.

Representative Herod and her colleagues have been working diligently on criminal justice reform.

She forecasts progress during the 2019 legislative session, and discusses her proposed bills on Ban the Box, Drug de-felonization, Community Corrections improvement, and Cash Bail reduction.

Herod also highlights the changes needed for transgender prisoners.
