OutSources: Seeing the Whole Picture – Sexual Health and HIV Prevention in the Coachella Valley

Interview with Zef Llamas, a PrEP Navigator at the Desert AIDS Project (DAP) headquartered in Palm Springs, California. DAP faces unique challenges in promoting the health of its community in the Coachella Valley area, where the rate of HIV infection is 400% greater than the national average.  Zef speaks on DAP’s approach to working on these issues, as it relates to sexual health, diversity, and LGBTQ identity. As our conversation indicates, the lessons that DAP has learned can be applicable to similar efforts across the country, including Colorado.
