Flashback 40! Women’s Voices on KGNU

Flashback 40 is our monthly look at 4 decades of making waves at KGNU. This month, in honor of Women’s History Month, we honor the women voices that have populated KGNU’s airwaves over the past 40 years, including the hosts of Feminist Frequencies and Womyn Air.

You can hear Flashback 40 on the third Monday of every month at 8.35am.  The theme song for this series is the Gnu Suite by Kenny Wheeler featuring Keith Jarrett, which was the first thing to be played on KGNU when it launched on May 22, 1978.
