PoCo in BoCo: Toluwanimi Obiwole

Nikhil Mankekar and Tracey Jones, co-hosts of our monthly series looking at issues facing People of Color in Boulder County (PoCo in BoCo), speak with Toluwanimi Obiwole, a poet and activist.

Toluwanimi recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder and shares her experiences of being a student of color on  campus and efforts to promote diversity on college campuses.

In 2015 she was Denver’s inaugural Youth Poet Laureate. She has been the regular host of the Tuesday night open mic nights at InnisFree bookstore in Boulder.
