Join Angela Palermo for a conversation with Tobi Hill-Meyer and Sara Connell. Tobi Hill-
Meyer is a presenter, trainer, performer and film director. She directed the erotic documentary
Doing It Ourselves: The Trans Women Porn Project and has edited Nerve Endings: The New
Trans Erotic, a recently published collection of short stories. Sara Connell has been serving as
Out Boulder’s Education and Services Manager for last three years and is a true powerhouse on
the local trans advocacy scene.

During our conversation, we discuss transmisogyny and its depth/power in Western culture, the
medical and psychological communities’ past attempts to norm trans woman into
heterosexuality, why sexuality is such a charged subject for trans women, the “exoticizing” or
“fetishing” of trans women and our place in both mainstream and alternative porn.
