Conflict Resolution: Monitoring Police

Whether you’ve had direct interaction with the police or not, you most likely have an opinion about how to monitor them. So, how do we monitor policing? What attributes and behaviors do you want in police officers? How do we build trust?

Our guest is Dr. Ajenai Clemmons, Asst. Professor at the Scrivner Institute of Public Policy at the University of Denver. She has a particular background from her role in helping to establish the Denver Office of the Independent Monitor that oversees investigations of police and sheriff misconduct. In DC, she then served as Policy Director for a national association of Black state legislators. And now she’s back in Colorado, teaching Public Policy.
