Boulder’s Environmental/Nature/Outdoors Film Festival Director Richard Paradise gives a sneak peak for what’s in store for this year’s showings.

Among the films at the festival is Oliver Stone’s “Nuclear Now,” which re-examines the arguments for nuclear energy to mitigate the climate crisis. At the end of the film festival is Patrick and the Whale by Patrick Dykstra, detailing how he befriends a sperm whale named Dolores.

Opening night for the 5th annual Environmental/Nature/Outdoors Film Festival is July 13 5:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Boulder on Canyon. The rest of the festival will be held at the nearby Dairy Arts Center until July 16.
