To start things off, Denver International Airport CEO Phil Washington joins the show to reflect on his five years at the helm of the nation’s third busiest airport.
During the conversation, Washington touches on his biggest accomplishments, such as expanding the airport’s reach to Asian and African destinations and drastically increasing the airport’s annual visitors.
Washington also speculates on the direction the airport will take in the years to come, noting the possibility of DIA operating on a fully independent power grid from the surrounding cities. Dave LaPorte will take on the role of Interim CEO following Washington’s retirement.
