“Begin Where You Are” is a new anthology featuring work by a century of Colorado’s poet laureates.

KGNU’s Jack Armstrong attended a poetry reading to learn more about how proceeds from the anthology are helping Colorado’s newest laureate expand access to poetry throughout the state.

It’s been just over two months since Crisosto Apache was selected as Colorado’s next poet laureate. Apache is already making good on their promise to spread poetry across the state, traveling to high school workshops, meetings for all ages, and most recently, Boulder, for a joint poetry reading.

Apache was joined on stage by poet laureate emeritus Joseph Hutchison and editor of the recently released anthology of Colorado’s poets laureate, Turner Wyatt.

More information about “Begin Where You Are” and Colorado’s poet laureates can be found at www.coloradopoets.org.
