CU students protest ChatGPT Edu & Key Lime Air contract — Campus Update KGNU News

We were joined in the studio by the CU Independent’s Dominic Leading Fox to discuss recent student demonstrations on the University of Colorado Boulder campus. These demonstrations have focused on the university’s OpenAI deal and launch of ChatGPT Edu for CU students. The initial release date for the software to students and staff has been pushed back, likely due to community backlash.

Leading Fox also discussed student demonstrations targeting the university’s contract with Key Lime Air. Since 2011, CU’s men’s and women’s basketball teams have been contracted to fly to games via Key Lime Air, one of the airlines that the Department of Homeland Security has chartered to conduct deportation flights.

Campus Update is a twice-monthly check-in about CU Boulder stories with student reporters. This story aired on the Morning Magazine, KGNU’s weekday morning show featuring in-depth discussions on local news issues.
