Empire Lyric Players Presents “The Mikado…In Space!” Jul 25 – 27

For over 60 years, The Empire Lyric Players in Denver has been a creative hub, specializing in the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. According to their website, they are one of the oldest surviving “G & S” societies in the country, and continue to reinvent Gilbert and Sullivan musicals in exciting ways. Their latest show is The Mikado in Space, and it runs July 25-27 at the Elaine Wolf Theatre at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center in Denver. KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo spoke with Jeff Jablonski, The director, and Kathleen Cummings, who plays Katisha, about the show.
