Artists are taking action in Boulder County

For a lot of creative-minded people, art can be a source of community in times of struggle.

That’s true for many in Boulder, including Molly Hargarten. She founded Artists in Action as a result of Donald Trump’s cuts to community and non-profit organizations. Together with other artists, she leads support efforts to help groups in the community.

To learn more about the artist group’s commitment to supporting those in need, KGNU’s Jackie Sedley sat down with Molly, as well as Kristen Bohanan – she’s the Chief Development Officer at Sister Carmen Community Center, who Artists in Action is currently partnering with. They’ll be hosting a fundraiser for Sister Carmen this Sunday, June 8.
